Passing by the Queen Mary on the
trip from Long Beach to Avalon.
Three cruise ships came into the harbor at Avalon
during the four days that we were there -
The Carnival Miracle,
The Carnival Radiance, and
The Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas.
All making the trip between Long Beach and Ensenada.

We took the Eco Tour again...
and boy, were we glad we did!
During the initial part of the tour
we only saw two bison only from the distance.
However, we made a rest stop and while we did so
another tour group also stopped and their guide
told our guide that he had heard that
there was a herd of bison nearby.
Although we were near the scheduled end of our tour,
our guide asked the group if anyone objected to extending the tour.
Since no one did, he proceded off the normal tour route
through a locked gate where we saw roughly
15 bison on the dirt road and the surronding hills.
We spent our last day renting a golf cart
and taking a tour of Avalon.
